Alexandra Horowitz, author of "Inside of a Dog: What Dogs See, Smell, and Know" book, illustrates how the dog’s nose can smell the past, the future and even things that can’t be seen at all!
Remember to keep those noses occupied by letting your dog to have a good sniff when out on a walk. Allow as much time as they need, do not rush them or pull them away from the smell. Sniffing provides a mental stimulation and helps our dogs to understand the world around them. Remember that it is what you do rather than how far you go that determines a good walk in your dog's mind.
Happy noses = happy and content dogs!
